Improve Maternal Health

The State has paid special attention to improving maternal health, because of its positive influence on the overall health of the society. This is carried out through maternity and child health centers allotted to all primary care centers and hospitals, so as to extend such service to all the parts of the country.

Two indicators have been chosen to follow up on the pursuit of this Goal. They are: postpartum mortality rate and proportion of births attended by skilled health personnel. UAE has fully attained Goal 5.
